HOW IT WORKS
All work is done on an hourly basis. Time and cost estimates for each project are agreed upon before work commences. All projects begin with a one hour minimum and half hour increments after that. I require a two-week turn around time for all projects. I am happy to work toward specific deadlines if needed, however, rush fees may apply.
I can work from sketches, inspiration photos, actual samples or just verbal descriptions. However, please be aware that the more precise your project description, the more accurate my first patterns and sample will be! So please be SPECIFIC! I do one-hour complimentary phone consultations at the commencement of each new project. For meeting in person—including fittings—my $75 hourly rate will apply. Tell me about your project!
RATES
PATTERN MAKING: $75/hr
Generally speaking, patterns can take anywhere from 1 to 5 hours to complete. Simple patterns like basic T-shirts, lounge wear, or tank tops will normal take 1 to 3 hours and more complicated patterns like dresses, jackets or pants can take 5 or more hours to complete. I print hard copies of patterns and ship them to you OR email you the .dxf digital files.
SAMPLE MAKING: $45/hr
All fabric and design specific notions must be provided by the client. I am happy to shop for fabric and notions in which case the cost will be included in the agreed upon estimate.
GRADING:
Pattern grading is charged based upon how many pattern pieces there are and how many sizes you need. Use this formula to calculate your grading cost: [$2.50 x # of pattern pieces x # of sizes]. For example, if you need a T-shirt (front, back, and sleeve) graded into 6 sizes, the cost will be $2.50 x 3 x 6= $42.
CUSTOM BRIDAL:
All custom bridal starts at $2,000. All bridal gowns start with a phone consultation (1 hr, complimentary). We will use inspiration photos, sketches, and samples to communicate and once a design is agreed upon, I will give you an accurate price. I require half of the total cost to be paid up front and the remainder upon completion of the garment. Also, all bridal gowns need to be started 90 days prior to your wear date. If you need your gown sooner, rush fees will apply. Click here to view my bridal gallery.
